The latest on what we’re doing and what we’re paying attention to.
Washington, DC — In response to state Senator Dan Bishop’s win in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District special primary election on Tuesday following the district’s election fraud scandal, Page Gardner, founder and president of the Voter Participation Center, released the following statement:
“North Carolinians fought long and hard for a chance to repeat their election process — this time free of the fraud and interference that characterized the first vote during the 2018 midterms. We must remain vigilant against future attempts to disenfranchise the voters of this state or any other.
“Unmarried women, young people, and communities of color in North Carolina know they will play a crucial role in this contest. On September 10th, this group will also make its voice heard in the general election.”
